Here’s a tip for quick relief from costochondritis pain or chest imbalance.
Using one hand, place your thumb at the bottom of the sternum (the breast bone) and your pinky in your belly button. Find the center point between these fingers. Draw a line between this mid-point and its equivalent point on the spine.
Now extend that vertebrae (or those vertebrae) back and outwards natural.
Push your neck up and roll your shoulders back while you do this. This will usually involve your stomach sinking in a bit.
I like to perform this while sucking in to prevent my hand from being able to palm my belly.
This shouldn’t feel like flexing the abs. It should feel like stretching the back muscles outwards.
